Hello guys and dolls. Summer is in full swing and it’s hot out there at the theme parks! Hydration is key. So is protecting those beautiful faces from the Florida sunshine. There’s no need to be hungry, low on power, sunburnt or any other kind of ‘under prepared’ when at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Here’s what I stash in my bag for a full day of playing at the parks.

Park Tickets and Money

First thing I do before I leave the house is to make sure that I’ve got my theme park pass so I can get through the parking lot toll plaza. Next is making sure I have a magic band so I can enter the park and have my fastpass selections at the ready and last but certainly not least, cash or a pre-loaded Gift Card to use for anything I see and can’t live without.

Cell Phone and Charging Supplies

Gotta make sure that my cell phone has been fully charged the night before the big day. I want 100% battery when I walk through the gates of the park. I also make sure that my back-up power bank is fully charged. I carry a rather large one with me, as well as two smaller sticks. The large pack will charge my cell phone fully seven times and the two smaller batteries will give me a half a charge each.

I also bring my wall charger as a last resort and of course I have to have my charging cord. There’s a lot of social media that needs to happen when roaming the parks.

Sun Protection

I’m about the fairest one of all…ask the mirror on the wall. Which is why I always carry a hair tie, hat and sunglasses. Another “must” is sunscreen. I slather on baby sunblock for maximum protection. If I am out playing in the parks for a full day I make sure to reapply.

Water and Snacks

You will always find water and snacks in my bag. When I consume all of my bottled water I can go to any counter service location at any of the parks and ask for a cup of ice water, which is always complementary, or refill from one of the water fountains. Individually portioned snacks are good to grab and go.

It’s been said that the average park guest walks seven miles throughout the course of a day. Seven miles burns a lot of calories. It’s summertime and you’re going to want to replace that water you lose. You also want to make sure you’re not hungry. These RITZ sandwich crackers, in 190 calorie portions can help with that. They’re especially convenient if you are in a queue line waiting to board an attraction or are on a bus or monorail traveling from one park to another.

What about your Summer Theme Park Bag…what would I find inside?

  • Renee Bergeron says:

This is a great list! So much easier than re-thinking it every time you are trying to head out for an adventure. BTW, I really love the bacon flavored RITZ crackers!

  • Frank says:

I always carry a back pack. I have one of my Disney backpacks pre-packed with everything I need except the water, which is I pack just as I walk out the door. In Florida, in the summer, you can almost bet on a rainy afternoon, so I always carry a small backpack-size umbrella.

  • Mary Larsen says:

Ive never been to Disney, but when I do I will most certainly take this tips to heart — the multiple chargers and snacks are a great idea! #client
