Review of “Lines” – The Unofficial Guide to Disney Wait Times on Your Phone

LinesDo you wish you could miniaturize the Tip Board at your favorite Disney Theme Park, like Wayne Szalinski does in Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and then stick it in your back pocket so you can refer to it all day long?  Well, now you can, thanks to our good friend Henry Work at TouringPlans.com, the online extension of “The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World”.

iPhoneLinesHenry has created an application simply called “Lines”, that will tell you the wait times for each and every Disney Attraction in real-live-time on your smart phone.  You can also find out the “Return Times” for the fastpass distribution system, for those attractions that offer it, before you make your way all the way over to the attraction. For example, you walk into the entrance of Epcot and decide that you want to get a fastpass to ride Soarin’, you pull out your smart phone and and go to the “Lines” application and see that fastpasses are currently being distributed with a return time of 6:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.  You realize that you’re supposed to meet Amanda Tinney and Rick Howard at the Kona Island Sushi Bar at 6:00 p.m. for dinner. Bang…you just saved yourself a good 15 minutes travel time through the park that you would have spent walking over to Soarin’ to see that information for yourself.

Not only does the “Lines” Application show you wait times and fastpass distribution times through the magic of the mobile internet, it also provides guests with park hours, crowd calendar data, refurbishments, and attraction closures.

Want to see “Lines” in action? Take a look at this video we shot just for you…

If you too think this is the greatest invention since sliced bread, make sure you let Henry at TouringPlans.com know and tell him Amanda Tinney sent ya! =)

Until Next Time,
