group rundisney disneyland half disney parks blog fun run meet upThere was a tropical wave in Anaheim for the 2013 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend and temperatures were unseasonably HOT. That didn’t stop a group of 50ish runDisney enthusiasts from lacing up their sneakers and going for a fun run through Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks Friday morning.  That “silly” photo above is the end of the meetup. Here’s how it began…

Once everyone was properly outfitted with their complementary runDisney tech shirts they made their way into Downtown Disney for a quick running technique tutorial from the folks over at New Balance.

Just as they were finishing up their “Good Form Running” clinic runners had a surprise visit from none other than the White Rabbit.

This is as close as I will get to the experience that the runDisney race leaders get. What an amazing, and naughty, feeling to be in the parks when they are completely deserted.

Sleeping Beauty Castle disney rundisney disneyland half meet upAfter running through the castle, there was a surprise waiting for runners in Fantasyland.  A private meet and greet with Alice and a no-wait ride on the Mad Tea Party.
