Who Rocks Crocs at Walt Disney World?

Epcot-Food-and-Wine-PosterSo my friend Jennifer and I were at the Wonder’s of Life Pavilion this week taking pictures of the 2009 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Merchandise for a video I recently put together.  Many of the Festival souvenirs feature a piece of art depicting a chef, on a bicycle…let’s call him Louie…who is riding his bicycle around World Showcase while balancing two baskets and a tower of wine bottles.  He is obviously touring the Epcot Theme Park.  And what do guests who are touring Walt Disney World Theme Parks wear on their feet?  Crocs of course! Louie is no exception to this rule. He too rocks the Crocs !  Following in the footsteps (no pun intended) of the great chef Mario Batali, Chef Louie get’s down with the Crocs Craze, except his Crocs are Red instead of Orange.

I have noticed that a lot of Disney Guests wear Crocs. I do not own a pair but I can imagine that they are a pretty versatile shoe for touring the Disney Parks. You can get them wet on rides like Kali River Rapids and if you were Rockin’ a pair, wouldn’t mind splashing around in an afternoon rainstorm.  I’ve seen Mickey Crocs and Crocs adorned with Disney Jibbitz in every hole.  Do you own a pair of Crocs? Do you love them? I would love to see your Disney Crocs! Send me a picture and I will post it here!

    Absolutely not!

I got my one and only pair of Crocs when I worked at Starbucks. I had already ruined 2 pairs of sneakers so I wanted something that’d last longer and be washable because of all the crap I spilled on them all day. Of course I couldn’t get the regular ones with the holes in them, but they sell special food service ones that are completely closed. They were comfy, but I can’t wear them to the parks for the same reason I could wear them to work – no holes = no air for feet!

My kids went thru a Disney Crocs phase, but then moved on to Heelies. :)

The only time I *ever* considered crocs was when they started selling them at WDW. Problem is, I’m a 9.5 in size, and they don’t come in half sizes. I hate sliding around in shoes, especially something like crocs, so they were a no-go for me.

My sister is a nurse and swears by them, but I just can’t go there.

I have them but I have never worn them to the parks, I lived in them the other half of the summer when I wasn’t wearing my LL Bean slide sandals. My kids wore them though in all the parks and they are great for the plane – they loved them and no complaints like I get when they wear sneakers; he has Wall-E and she has Minnie and Dora. Note…only the real Crocs – the knockoffs are not the same and do not feel as comfortable for some reason, even the LL Bean ones.

Seems pretty even the likes and dislikes of the CROCS . I have never wore any knock offs because they dont makem my size but the kids do and love them. They love them just because they look like Lightning McQueen ” KaChow !” Its all about the comfort not the fashion . They are ugly but they sure do feel good. Great slip ons after golf to after the spike come off. Thanks for the add even though I am OG from the REAL Disneyland . This was last Halloween at DCA.

Love, love, love my Crocs!! I use to hate them and after a long day in the parks, my daughter told me I should buy some… and how could I go wrong with Mickey cut outs on them??? I bought them and have never looked back since! I wear them every day while at the parks and sometimes to a quick trip to the store or to do stuff in the yard. I have worn them to work on accident but they just made everyone in the office laugh!! I have just ordered me another pair (just like the first-black with the Mickey cut outs) since I have worn these out and I will need them for my December trip. Like you mentioned, they are great in the rain–tried and tested in an all day rain at DHS!

My daughter was at Orlando airport this summer(2009) and bought a pair of Disney crocs and at a reasonable price. There are two Croc stores at the airport(one before security and the other past security. Last summer(2008)she purchased Crocs at the park.

I love my Crocs. I bought my first pair in the Pirates of the Caribbean shop after drowning my sneakers in the rain. I got the Pirate Crocs with the logo all over them. I loved them so much that I now own 4 pairs of Crocs. I still want a pair of the Mickeys, but haven't found them at a reasonable price, even at the outlets. While I love my regular Crocs, I prefer the ladies Mary Jane style. They're narrower and don't slide around as much. Now I always Rock the Crocs whenever I go to Disney World (and the rest of the time too!)

The Mary Jane style is definitely cute
