Did you know that there is a ski-through McDonald’s? Yep…That’s right, there is a ski-through McDonald’s in Salen, Sweeden!
And while not as fascinating as a drive through you can enter on a pair of skis in the dead of winter…one of the two stand-alone McDonald’s locations in the the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ has just recently undergone a massive facelift.
If you have stayed at any one of the Disney All-Star Resorts, you have passed by the once character decorated facade of this McDonald’s location. The restaurant now has an extremely modern feel and the interior made me feel as if I had just entered an IKEA. Take a look for yourself…
There’s quite a difference in the building’s exterior.

Here’s the outdoor seating area…

The main entrance…

Here’s the new IKEA ‘like’ furnishings inside…

On this day we stopped by the McDonald’s for a snak and I was surprised to feel as if I was not even sitting inside a McDonald’s enjoying my Mocha Frappe and French Fries, but as if I was inside a designer showroom.
As with all things Disney…don’t expect to walk in and get a $1 Sweet Tea. The menu prices are higher than the norm that you would pay at your local McDonald’s. But subsequently a lot cheaper than a counter service restaurant in one of the parks.
Until Next Time,

P.S. How do you feel about Doughnuts?
