Out with the old and in with the new. Looks like the Toll Booths at the Magic Kingdom Main Entrance need some spiffing up. I had heard talk of this from my friends on Twitter and then I noticed this on my way to the Wilderness Lodge Resort the other day…
New Magic Kingdom Toll Booths waiting for Installation
It always makes me giggle to see something like this so sorely out of place. Pink toll booths in the grass under the monorail line just before the turn to go to the Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground.
Here’s a look at the condition of the existing toll booths. Not so pretty…
Old Magic Kingdom Toll Booth
I wonder if these booths are original to the park? I am also wondering if these old booths will make it back to “Property Control” to be sold, or if they will be refurbished and placed at the entrance to another Disney Park? Interesting factoid: The Tower of Terror Fastpass Machines are refurbished machines that used to be at The Haunted Mansion.
Some of the new booths have already been installed….mahvelous!
NEW Magic Kingdom Toll Booth
Looks like some minor color tweaking was done as well. The old booths were a light lavender’ish’ pink with a light pink stripe and the new booths are pepto pink with a dark mauve stripe. Makes me think of heffalumps and woozles!
