OK…this is really weird but stay with me for a moment…
THE BACK STORY:
This past Sunday I was at yet another Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom. I had my mind set that I was going to pick up a souvenir for my daughter since she was not with me. I knew exactly what I wanted to get her because I had seen this particular item at two previous parties. The item was a rather long necklace with a large plastic light-up ghost as a pendant and Disney was selling them for ONLY $5.00! Pretty cheap right? They were being hawked at all of the little mobile carts manned by cast members on the streets throughout the Magic Kingdom and I thought they were cute so I asked at every cart but apparently they were such a good deal that they were SOLD OUT. (insert sad face here)
My friend Nicole Siscaretti was with me that evening as we hunted the Magic Kingdom in search of the elusive ghost necklace…to no avail.
Nicole and my friend John Saccheri were talking last night and she casually mentioned to John that I had been looking for the ghost necklace. John just so happened to have one of the necklaces from our Epic October 2010 MNSSHP meet-up. And he just so happened to be replacing the button cell battery in the ghost necklace that evening.
Here comes the weird part! I get a phone call from John asking me if I want to see something strange… Who’s gonna say no to that right? So he MMS’s me this picture…
This is the battery that he pulled out of the Disney Ghost Necklace! Bizarre right? What the fiddlesticks is a Playboy bunny battery doing inside of a child’s light-up toy at Walt Disney World…
So that’s the link…a stretch…I know…but still a link.
That is all.
p.s. A big thank you to my friend John aka @DisneyWorlds on Twitter for the use of his photos
