Video: Animatronics on Disney’s Seven Dwarf Mine Train Revealed

Looks like Imagineers are upping their game when it comes to the animatronic faces on the dwarfs in the soon-to-be-open Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction. The digitizing looks similar to Buzz Lightyear in the queue of Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin over in Tomorrowland. Take a look for yourself.

I will be covering the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction Media Preview LIVE in New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom from April 30th – May 2nd. Follow along on FacebookTwitter and Instagram where I will be posting live photos and video of the event.

Eat and Drink in Epcot Until 11 pm with the All New ‘After Hours Wind Down’

Tuto Gusto Epcot Italy Wine Flight

Have you ever been in the middle of your World Showcase Crawl at Epcot when IllumiNations ends and then you have to leave the park at 9pm? Kind of a bummer right? Walt Disney World has rolled out a new “hard ticket event” that allows guests to continue the party until 11pm.

It’s called “After Hours Wind Down” and tickets are available right now.  For $35 guests can pay to stay in the park for two hours after closing and enjoy one of four private locations.

Beginning April 17th through September 15th, choose either La Cava del Tequila at the Mexico Pavilion; Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion; Tutto Gusto in the Italy Pavilion, or Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom Pavilion. Each location will have small bites paired with a beverage flight (additional beverages can be purchased) from 9:20 – 11 p.m. It’s a magical time as the park quiets down.

Cost is $35, plus tax and gratuity. To make a reservation, go to www.disneyworld.com/spring, call 407-WDW-DINE, or check in with Epcot Guest Relations to see if space is available.

Menu Changes Coming to the ESPN Club at the Walt Disney World Boardwalk

ESPN Grill Dsney Boardwalk Asian Chickaen Salad and Beer

On a recent stay at the Walt Disney World Boardwalk, I decided to grab a quick bite and a few beers at the ESPN Club.  The photo above was my lunch. A Left Hand Milk Stout and their Asian Chicken Salad ($13.49) Oven-roasted Pulled Chicken, Mandarin Oranges, Snow Peas, Carrots, Asian Vinaigrette, and Won Ton Crisps.

Because I was dining solo I grabbed a seat up at the bar. As I was enjoying my salad I noticed the restaurant manager checking on guests and I could not take my eyes off of him. Not in a stalker way. I just felt like I knew him. Then it dawned on me, I DID know him. He had worked with a friend of mine over at Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom many moons ago, so I stopped him to chat. Turns out he had some juicy insider info for me. The ESPN Club is about to undergo a menu change and new items should be showing up by next month.

When asked what the menu changes consisted of I was told that there would be additional sauces add to the wings offered there. The chef has been playing around with the new offerings. The “Lobster Bites” will be switched out for a crawfish appetizer.  You will see two new salads added to the menu, a Tuna Niçoise (which is similar to a composed Cobb salad) and a Caprese Salad (tomato, basil and mozzarella).  He also told me that there would be a Chicken and Waffles option.

If you’d like to check out the ESPN Grill on the Disney Boardwalk you can do so from 11:30 am to 1:30am.
