i love freebies disneyFreebies you say?  Freebies at Walt Disney World?  “Why yes Virginia, there are freebies at Walt Disney World.”  And here is our list of the top 5 freebies at the Walt Disney World Resort!

5. Duffy Kidcot Souvenir – Looking for a free souvenir to take home? Pick up a “Duffy” Kidcot souvenir in Innoventions at Epcot and take a stroll around World Showcase. Pop into the Kidcot area at each of the World Showcase country pavilions for a special stamp on your Duffy stick, color and then have the characters around World Showcase sign your Duffy Souvenir. It’s Free!

4. Celebrate Buttons – “What will you celebrate?” It seems as though everyday is a cause for celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you are celebrating something while visiting Walt Disney World let it be known by grabbing one of the free “Celebrate” buttons available at any Guest Relations counter throughout the parks. From birthdays, to anniversaries, to 1st Visits and everything in between, there’s sure to be a Disney Celebrate Button to commemorate the occasion!

3. Ghirardelli Chocolate in Downtown Disney – It’s hard to walk by Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop in the Downtown Disney Marketplace without swinging in for a free square-de-jour! Simply enter the doors to the Chocolate Shop and you’ll be rewarded with a free piece of Ghirardelli’s chocolate! Nestled in between the “Basin” and “Team Mickey”, it’s a must-do when strolling around Downtown Disney.

2. Soda at Club Cool – Tucked into a corner of Future World in the Epcot theme park is a magical place where you can cool off from the Florida heat, sample some free soda and get your shoe stuck to the floor. Joking about the floor part, well kinda. Club Cool has eight different varieties of soda from all over the globe and you can drink free-of-charge till your thirst is quenched, or at least until “Beverly” stops you dead in your tracks.

and the TOP #1 Spot goes to……(drum roll please)…..

1. Fastpass – These little beauties give you the “power” to skip the line at some of Walt Disney World’s most popular attractions. Depending on what time of year you visit the Walt Disney World Resort, lines can reach in excess of 120 minutes for some of the more popular attractions. Armed with your park entry ticket and a little planning you can turn that wait time into something significantly smaller with the use of Disney’s free Fastpass system available at all four Walt Disney World theme parks.  And almost as good as the freebies are the great offers that Florida4Less has to offer on your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

OCC Siemens Electric Motorcycle Goes Green at Epcot Innoventions

ChopperAny Orange County Chopper Fans visiting Epcot this month?

If not, you may want to put some plans into motion! From now until January 30th you can view the Teutuls’ environmentally friendly bike, “The Smart Chopper”, up-close-and-personal at Epcot’s Innoventions at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The OCC guys teamed up with Siemens to make a slick looking chopper powered solely by electricity.  The motorcycle is made with recycled materials, water based paint, and has zero emissions!  Siemens said that they…”wanted to build this unique chopper to raise environmental awareness and reflect what the 69,000 employees of Siemens USA are doing to help America stay on the cutting edge of tomorrow’s green economy.”

Check out these photos that I snapped.  This machine is amazing!

You can vote at the Siemens Website through April 14, 2010 for the charity that you think most deserves the proceeds from the sale of the bike.  The three charities in the running are Keep America Beautiful, the Earth Day Network, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.  You can also cast a vote at the Epcot Innoventions display.

Do you watch American Chopper on TLC? What do you think of this bike?

Experience Disney’s Sum of All Thrills With Us at EPCOT

Sum of All ThrillsI figured that some of you might be wondering about Epcot’s newest attraction in Innoventions the “Sum of All Thrills”. So…I packed up a few of my friends and headed over there to ride and film it for you. Simulators and I don’t usually get along. Does anyone else feel the same? So I was a little apprehensive, as you can see in the video. But for anyone else out there that has an aversion to (as it has been dubbed) the virtual Space Mountain…you might want to reconsider. You can choose to build your roller coaster to “chicken status” as we did.

See for yourself and come along for the ride as we experience Epcot’s Sum of All Thrills!!!!

Something New & Exciting is Opening at Disney’s Epcot Theme Park!

Wild_About_Safety_LogoUL…or Underwriters Laboratory is at it again! UL is the same company that partnered with the Disney Corporation on it’s “Wild About Safety” Campaign. I remember this campaign vividly, because each safety lesson was commemorated on a different Disney Pin… and I am, after all, one of the biggest Disney Pin Fanatics this side of the Mississippi. The “Wild About Safety” Campaign was aimed to educate Disney Resort Guests about the importance of safety in the parks. The story revolved around Pumba and Timon and their activities in the Disney Theme Parks. The campaign injected humor into each lesson to teach us how to have fun and be safe at the same time while touring the parks. Here’s a little reminder of the “Wild About Safety” Lessons that we learned. Thanks to PinPics for the images…

UL is now sponsoring the “Test the Limits Lab” in Innoventions East at Disney’s Epcot Resort. The Lab has been opened since 2003 and is roughly 3,000 square feet. As stated on the Underwriters Laboratory site, “The exhibit features five hands-on activities where kids of all ages can “test” products for safety the same way UL engineers do. Guided by highly trained Innoventions cast members, visitors to Test the Limits Lab can “implode” television screens, put vacuum cleaners through their paces and even drop 55-gallon barrels on firefighter helmets to see whether they can withstand the impact.” That sounds like fun for anyone!

I was touring Epcot the other day and I discovered something new…”The Safety Smart Lab”!!! Looks like UL is at it again…building yet another spectacular experience for us to participate in! This dome shaped building has been constructed adjacent to the “Test the Limits Lab”. I can’t wait to see what awaits us inside!!

Until Next Time,
