Have you ever noticed these contraptions while on the monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom? Do you know what they are?
Here’s a shot of the area from Google Earth. The mystery items are located in the canal inside of the red rectangle.
Being a Disney local, I ride the monorail more than the average visitor and on occasion, I will overhear guests trying to guess the identity of these large floating objects. Maybe some of you out there would like to know what they are as well. Some of you “in the know” may be shouting out the answer at your computer monitor as we speak. =)

It’s the Electric Water Pageant. And the mystery objects are the individual barges docked in the canal during the day. Next time you visit Walt Disney World and are on the monorail ride around to the Magic Kingdom make it a point to check out the barges and make sure to listen closely as the other guests in your cabin take guesses as to what the “mysterious objects” are. =)
