Sneak Peek at the 2010 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival
I just got back from an afternoon at Epcot and preparations for the 2010 Flower and Garden Festival are in full swing. I snapped as many pictures as I could while out touring the grounds. The theme for this year’s festival is “Celebrate the Great Outdoors” and it will run from March 3rd until May 16th.
There’s an exciting new foodie element to this year’s festival (Garden Town Breakfast) and you can read all about it over on my good friend AJ’s Disney Food Blog.
So without further ado…your sneak peek pictures guys and dolls…
Planters at the entrance to the park…
The Lion King menagerie around Spaceship Earth’s Project Tomorrow exterior…
Disney’s resident alien Experiment 626 welcomes guests to Mission Space this year…
Floating planters…a mainstay of the Flower and Garden Festival…
A Hidden Mickey near the butterfly garden tent…
Lady and the Tramp welcome you to Italy in World Showcase…
Last week I shot this picture at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I always wondered how they got the patterns so perfectly laid out in this area of the park…
BEFORE:
AND AFTER:
Fresh beds planted near the Odyssey Building…
and I also found this delightfully interesting…mini water sprinklers in the flower beds…
Green and Purple cabbage outside of Morocco…
Something taking shape behind these walls between Morocco and France…”The Art of Green Living”…
The UK has also been freshly planted. Imagine sipping tea and listening to the British Invasion play in these gardens…
Here are some shots of the setup for the BRAND NEW “Water Wise Herbs and Vegetables” display between Canada and The Refreshment Port. As luck would have it, there were only trees as dividers and I was able to pop off a few shots from in between the tree tops…
“Lets Get Moving” area between the Rose Garden and The Refreshment Port. Check out the construction on the Evos and Weevos Play System amid a sprinkling of Fantasia….
