Disney Fastpass Secret

So…I love blogging because you learn from others while doing it. A big shout out goes to my Disney Twitter friend @zannaland for turning me on to yet another piece of Disney Insider Information.

If you are a seasoned visitor to the Walt Disney World Resort, I’m sure you are familiar with the Disney Fastpass System.   Did you know that there is another way, a secret way, to obtain a Fastpass for you and your family at the Magic Kingdom?  Well, there is!  And it doesn’t involve a Fastpass Machine at all.

The secret  fastpass distribution is on Tom Sawyer Island and it is extremely limited!  In fact, it is so limited that you might want to think about being the first one over to the island the minute that they open.  Heaven forbid, but if you don’t know where Tom Sawyer Island is…  It is located between Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and The Haunted Mansion.  The only way to get there is to travel by raft across the Rivers of America in Frontierland.

Here’s the secret… Cast Members will hide up to five whitewash paintbrushes in various places throughout the island.  If you are lucky enough to find a brush and present it to a cast member, you will receive a Special Fastpass.  What a great idea!  You know where you can find me the next morning I open up the Magic Kingdom. Catch me if you can!….

Until Next Time,

I just wanted to add the FP is for Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and is good for up to a party of 6.

And just ignore the looks from parents when you find it before their 6 year old. (yes, I got several looks for finding it as an adult)

We did it! We finally had the opportunity to use this bit of info and it worked to our advantage. The fast pass was for either Big Thunder or Splash Mountain and it was a one time only pass. We were there the week before Easter 2010. We first got a fast pass for Splash Mountain, then lined up to go to Tom Sawyers Island and got the fast pass to Big Thunder. It made defiantly made Tom Sawyers Island a little more exciting for my teens and tweens. :) Thanks for the info! The Kellys
