This weekend was spent lounging at the pool and eating cupcakes at the first ever Cupcake Lovers Weekend at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort at Walt Disney World. More on that in an upcoming post, but for now I’d like to give you a feel for what the rooms at the resort look like. This was a King Room (#507) which we put a roll-away in to accommodate three guests.
I used to think that the “Heavenly Beds” over at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort were the only beds I could get a good night’s sleep in. Boy was I wrong! These beds were as comfortable as my bed at home. I’m considering staying here the night of the 2011 Epcot Wine & Dine 1/2 Marathon because I know I will be rested for the race if I sleep here. And, they are offering a special package to runners that includes a free pasta dinner the night before the race as well as transportation to and from the race.
The bathroom was spacious with a large walk-in glass enclosed shower. Please note, if you have small children, there was no tub in our room.
The bathroom was stocked with Peter Thomas Roth toiletries…
Always a plus to have a mini fridge in your room for extended stays at Walt Disney World!
We had a great view overlooking the lazy river pool and golf course and could see Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well as the Dolphin Hotel and the Bowling Pins from Disney’s POP Century Resort.
While we’re on the subject of the view from our room I would like to point out that this is NOT the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista which is at Downtown Disney. This is the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, also at Walt Disney World. This resort is much newer and is located adjacent to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and POP Century. If you would like to book a room here please visit http://www.hiltonbonnetcreek.com/ or phone 407-597-3600.
Special thanks goes out to the Hilton Bonnet Creek for hosting my stay.
