Gaah…There are so many things that I want to share with you from my 1st trip to Disneyland this month so I guess that I will start here with some pictures of our 3-Bedroom Villa at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort.
The villa had sweeping views of the Paradise Pier section of Disney’s California Adventure theme park. There were two entrances into the suite…one on the second floor and then the one on the main floor. When you first enter the villa you are presented with a stunning view of Paradise Pier from a two story floor to cieling window.
The photo to the right was taken from the second floor balcony looking down to the living room below.
The look inside of the suite was rustic yet luxurious. The entire resort property reminded me of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge at the Walt Disney World Resort. The layout of the villa was almost identical to the Grand Villa at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower Resort.
Here’s a shot of the living room from the downstairs entrance. The window shades were on an electric mechanism and the armoire held a large flat screen TV with sound system. It actually piped in the music from World of Color so that you could sit in the living room and watch through the window if you didn’t want to go out onto one of the 4 balconies in the suite. We loved the Tiffany style lamps and one of the sofas made out into a sleeper as well.
Here’s the kitchen complete with all full sized appliances and dishes… If you look closely you will see a hidden mickey on the wood reinforcement for the bar.
The dining area with balcony…
The view from the balcony…
Here’s another shot of the living room taken from the large two story window looking back to the front door. To the immediate left would be the dining room and kitchen and to the right is the master bedroom. You can also see the stairs that lead to the second floor and left of the starway is a full bath with stand up shower for guests on the sleeper sofa as well as the door to the washer and dryer housing. The wood trim at the top of the photo is the frame for the second floor indoor loft area that looked down into the living room below.

Here’s a shot of the smaller full bath downstairs…
Here’s the king bed in the downstairs master bedroom…
Shot of the master bath. The wood panels to the right of the sunken tub open up to the sleeping area…
Just past the sink and tub area of the master bath was the commode and handicap accessible roll-in shower. Check out the wall border! Reminds me of the WDW Dolphin Resort. Not a fan of the pocket door here or the ones in the regular rooms that were installed in the bathroom either…
Here’s a shot of those open panels looking into the master bathroom from the master bedroom…
Moving upstairs to the loft was a couch, flat screen TV and billiard table. There was also a door that exited onto the fifth floor so technically the top floor can be accessed via wheelchair, you would just have to use the hotel wing’s main elevator. This loft looked down into the living room and was flanked on either side by a bedroom which held two queen sized beds, bathroom and balcony. So you could sleep 8 upstairs. The two upstairs bedrooms were very similar. The bedroom located directly over the downstairs master bedroom had a much larger bathroom and balcony and there was no full length mirror in the smaller of the two upstairs bedrooms.
Smaller upstairs bedroom…
Smaller upstairs sink area…
Smaller bathroom…
Moving over to the other side of the upstairs loft was a slightly larger bedroom also equipped with a bath, balcony and two queen beds…
Here’s the sink area. This one differs from the one across the loft in the fact that there is a sink outside the bath area as well as a sink inside the bath area. The other upstairs bathroom has only dual sinks outside of the bath area.
bath and commode area…
Both bedroom on the second floor are equally as nice, just laid out a tad bit different. Also wanted to reiterate the fact that each bedroom has its own balcony overlooking Disney’s California Adventure as does the dining room. And let us not forget the STUNNING views of the nighttime spectacular World of Color!
A BIG thanks to my girl Lynne over at Wondering What’s Next for her mad photography skillz! And to Rick Howard of Kingdom Magic Travel for making this stay possible. If you’d like to book a vacation, I HIGHLY recommend calling Kingdom Magic 1-866-972-6244 and utilizing their free services for all your travel needs.
