The title of the fourth installment in the Disney “Pirates” Franchise, which will be released in Summer of 2011, is Pirates of the Caribbean IV – On Stranger Tides.

Coming soon to a theater near you: The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made. I just love this franchise! I remember watching the Muppets on TV as a child and am excited to see what Disney does with this current installment!

Disney Double Dare You will be Disney’s Newest Horror Label. It will be headed up by Guillermo del Toro, who is currently working on The Hobbit.

The first film slated for release on the Disney Double Dare You label will be The Troll Hunters based an original story by Guillermo del Toro.  Del Toro is the mastermind behind Hellboy, Pans Labyrinth and Blade II so I expect to see great things from this partnership with Disney.

National Treasure 3 was confirmed by Dick Cook (head of Disney’s Movie division) and Nicolas Cage.  Cage is currently working on The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Frankenweenie, a previously released short by Tim Burton, will be re-tooled and released as a full length 3-D stop-motion film and should reach theaters in November 2011.

Robert Zemeckis to remake Yellow Submarine as a  3-D performance capture adaptation.
