Star Wars Weekend 2010 Campers at Disney's Hollywood Studios
…Now That’s Dedication
Folks are already lined up and ready to spend the night in front of the gates to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to catch a glimpse of Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian in “Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back” and “Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi”), Ray Park (Darth Maul in “Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace”) and Dave Filoni (director of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”)
But…they’ll have to brave it out through the night and endure the bad weather we are currently experiencing here in Orlando. Most came prepared with rain ponchos, umbrellas, coolers, blankets and chairs that recline into a full sleeping position.
I am curious how Disney Security will handle the situation. During past pin releases at Downtown Disney, I know that Disney Security has forced guests to leave the area and go back to their cars until around 6 am, at which time they were then allowed to come back and start queueing up in front of the “Disney’s Pin Traders” location.
These guests have resorted to taking shelter under the cover at the rear of the ticket booth where group sales are normally handled. I used to sell tickets here and this is a major “no-no”. The guests’ chairs are actually blocking the door that the cast member would need to access to get in and out of the ticket booth. Eek!

So what’s up my fellow Disney crazies? Have you ever camped out for anything before? Do tell?
Until Next Time,

P.S. Speaking of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Star Wars…Will you be on the last tour to Endor?
