Disney’s Fort Wilderness Railroad

Did you know that the Disney Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground used to have its very own Steam Train?  The Fort Wilderness Railroad, which operated in the 1970’s, could transport up to 90 campers on a three and a half mile trek through the Fort Wilderness Resort Campground.  The track around the Magic Kingdom is a mere one and a half mile track.  Although only in operation for about 5 years, the WDRR was an integral part of Disney history.  I was lucky enough to have ridden on the Wilderness Line while on a camping trip with my Girl Scout Troop (Shout out to the Citrus Council, Thanks for the memories) Thanks to LittleJohn312 for bringing this once distant remembrance back to life!

Until Next Time,
