Don’t you just love chance encounters? It’s a small world after all and you never know who you might run into at Walt Disney World. Last week I had the good fortune of taking a seat next to Barrie Brewer at the Kona Island Sushi Bar in the Polynesian. For those of you that do not know Barrie…she is a “Picture This” blogger on AllEars.net and one heck of a photographer.
Barrie and I got to talking and she told me that she was working on a special project to benefit Deb’s AVON Walk for Breast Cancer. Barrie will be running her very first Walt Disney World Half Marathon on January 9th inspired by contestants on “The Biggest Looser” and ‘the cause’.
Barrie will be turning 50 in June and she intends to fully kick off her yearlong birthday celebration by conquering the WDW 1/2 Marathon! Now that’s what I call chutzpah!
As part of her commitment to Team AllEars, she is raising money to donate to Deb’s AVON Walk for Breast Cancer. She has published a 2010 Disney Calendar and a Disney Book, both of which feature some of her favorite photos from Walt Disney World. Barrie is selling each of them online and from now until Marathon Weekend, She will be donating the proceeds to help fight breast cancer.
