Last month Walt Disney World held it’s inaugural Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons Bridal Showcase at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  This event happened to coincide with the 2011 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration where we were also treated to a little Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding MAGIC! (More on that in a future post). There were some celebrities on-hand including Celebrity party planner David Tutera.  Here he is hamming it up for us outside Disney’s Wedding Pavilion.

The Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons Bridal Showcase took place on March 19th from 9:00am – 5:00pm and included  the opportunity to meet the Disney Weddings Team, sample cuisine and cakes, check out the wedding gowns and flower arrangements, see actual ceremony and reception locations around property and attend question & answer sessions hosted by a Disney panel of experts.  My good friends at Kingdom Magic, the exclusive travel agency selected to represent at the event, invited me in for a sneak peek.

You were actually stepping INTO the Fairytale at the entrance to the Bridal Showcase!

There were several stations set up along the perimeter of the room but I was most intrigued by the bakers who had been working on some cakes throughout the day.

Then I noticed something that looked like WDCC Classic Collection Sculptures surrounding the base of the cake!  These were chocolate Disney characters that had been hand-painted!

I was probably most impressed with the cupcakes and mini cakes that were on display there.  Check ‘em out…
