Animal Kingdom's Harambe Wildlife Reserve Logo

How would you react if you saw one of the Main Street Electrical Parade floats parked in a public parking lot in your town?  Probably the same way I did when I spotted this Harambe Wildlife Reserve truck OFF the Animal Kingdom savanna.

This past week, while out in a residential area, I spotted this green truck and told my husband to follow it.  I couldn’t believe my eyes! An Animal Kingdom Harambe Wildlife Reserve truck was just cruising along rows of houses. The driver pulled into a public parking lot downtown and I snapped a picture with my iPhone while trying to not look stalkerish. The logo is on the side of the truck, I know its hard to make out…no zoom on the iPhone.  I felt like I had just found a needle in a haystack. What are the odds? This looks like one of the vehicles you would see “on-stage” feeding the animals while riding Kilimanjaro Safaris. Notice the rust/mud look on the side…true to the theming of the attraction.

Have you seen any misplaced Disneyana in your town?

Are you sure it wasn't on official business? Picking up wildebeest food in town perhaps? Or maybe some steaks for the lions?

Disney does sell some of its used vehicles to cast members but only after stripping off logos and what nots first. They (cast members) do sometimes go off property to run errands and such. Disney vehicles are taken off property more often than you think but 99% of the time its is done so in a more dicrete vehicle so as to not draw attention.

I'm assuming it came from property control….

or representing one in a court of law…. =) It was parked at City Hall

Yes…it was so very strange. I am assuming that it was purchased at Property Control or something like that. Another Cast Member friend of mine says she has seen it tooling around St. Cloud as well. So i guess it belongs to a neighbor now….
