About the Author

Amanda Tinney

Amanda Tinney has been Disney obsessed for over 30 years.  Living in Central Florida almost all of her life, she has been a frequent visitor to the Walt Disney World Resort.  Amanda grew up in Brevard County (think NASA) and saw the opening of EPCOT Center in her early years, which fast became her favorite Disney Theme Park.

Her high school years were spent in the Florida Keys. After graduating from Key West High School she made a bee line back to the place she loved most…Orlando. Amanda obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida.  She met the love of her life, Travis, in late ’97 (One of their 1^st dates was at the Magic Kingdom) and soon after produced one of the cutest Mouseketeers, Alexus (see the other Author Bio on this page).  The family lived in Kissimmee, Florida and Amanda recalls how she would listen to the fireworks every night,  floating over from Epcot and the Magic Kingdom.

Amanda’s father was a cast member back in the 70’s with Disney Security.  Following her father’s lead, she became a cast member at Disney’s MGM Studios (currently Disney’s Hollywood Studios) for one year (1999-2000) where she held the position of Vacation Planner (ticket sales).  This was the year that Disney unveiled it’s Pin Trading Program and her newest addiction was born.  A true Disney Pin Trader by definition…she has attended every single Disney Pin Event held at the Walt Disney World Resort since March of 2004.

Living in such close proximity, Amanda has had the fortune to frequent the Walt Disney World Resort more times than she would care to admit, for fear of being dubbed “The Disney Stalker”.  She has seen and experienced almost every resort, restaurant, and attraction that Disney has to offer.  If she had it her way she would live in “the World”, but since she can’t…She will just have to go to Disney Every Day!!!
