Perfume for the SoulA few weeks ago, I posted a Disney poem from Deborah Booth Armstrong titled “The Parade Route”.  This week I am proud to present another Guest Blog Post from Deborah, who is also the author of “Perfume for the Soul”.  I present to you…

Magic Napping

She was so little
that first time
we came to see
the Magic Kingdom

I watched her eyes
grow big and wide
as Pinocchio danced
so close beside her

The furry rabbit
held her hand
as Peter Pan
waived to her

I was sure we’d have to leave
as she yawned
and afternoon nap time
came as expected

We sat in comfort
in the shade
as representatives of nations
poured around us

She nestled comfy in my lap
and in her dreams
I’m sure that queens and castles
swirled about
as Minnie Mouse
waived and giggled

Then with a yawn
and oh so big a stretch
my little one was ready
for lots and lots more magic
Lasting on into the night
until colored shooting sparkles
bid us bye
and sealed into the sky
a sure
Y’all come back now.

Until Next Time,
